WAYS TO VOLUNTEER
Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We are always in need of volunteers and encourage you to contact us if interested. Whether you wish to clean stalls, brush horses, help with a fundraiser, or coordinate a special event.
There are plenty of opportunities both on the farm and behind the scenes to help out.
Volunteering is a great opportunity for people of all backgrounds to learn more about Standardbred horses and our organization. As a volunteer, you become part of a team committed to providing loving, quality care for these horses as they transition into a new life and we would love to have you join us!
The Purple Haze Standardbred Adoption Program is able to minimize its operational costs because of our volunteer base. Maybe you are interested in becoming a site inspector, fundraiser, ambassador, or perhaps you wouldn’t mind providing administrative support?
Please contact us for a volunteer application to let us know your area of interest and time availability. We’ll get in touch with you to let you know more about orientation and the training process. (Volunteers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent for the first time.)
If you are interested in training our horses please include any experience and riding abilities.
DUE TO SAFETY REASONS, VOLUNTEERS HAVE TO BE APPROVED
BEFORE RIDING OR TRAINING THE HORSES.
